Leavin on a jet plane

...am out the door on my way to the airport...
I'm off to the jungle in Honduras to do my little part for humanity...
no electricity, no running water equals no blogs for about a month.
see ya when I get home...

be true to my school

on the banks of the red cedar
there's a school that's known to all
whose specialty is winning
and those spartans play good ball
spartan teams are never beaten
all through the game they fight
fight for the only colors
green and white

go right through for MSU
watch the points keep growing
spartan teams are bound to win
they're fighting with a vim
rah rah rah
see their team is weakening
we're gonna win this game
fight fight
rah team fight
victory for MSU...

on the road again

ok...ok...
sadly, i'm not in bed.
i've taken another trip.
yesterday i landed in scenic kalamazoo. yet another person is getting married. it's gonna be a fun wedding, though. however, my brother neglected to make the hotel reservations in time, so we're gonna have to try and get a cot or scam a couch with some pre-planners...of course it's been 96 degrees here for the past 3 weeks, so i brought only shorts and a cute skirt...now the temp is in the 60s and i have no pants...luckily i scored with some 6 dollar jeans that don't really fit, but for six bucks, who really cares, right?
i drove up to lansing, today, and drove through my college campus. i know i'm biased, but michigan state university has one of the most beautiful campuses known to man (it's that pretty) driving through there brought back some of the best memories...aaahhh college...my friend that i'm staying with is lame, so i'll have to go back tomorrow to my stomping grounds...take pics and get the obligatory 15 unneeded MSU t-shirts...
off to my favorite fake mexican restaurant...

time passages

here's the deal, yo...
i took a little road trip this weekend...or more appropriately WE took a little road trip this weekend. got up first thing saturday morning, and headed east. then north. no agenda. no time frames. no schedule. nada. couple o' road trip cds, a map, and off we went. stopped along the way at one of those dumpy looking good food makin "diner"s --and had the worst eggs you ever did taste. it didn't really matter though. we ended up in this little woodsy state park. a cabin with character, and all the pine trees you could look at. there were a few lamps with 40 watt bulbs, and 2 twin beds. i'm tellin ya, it was rustic. we were so excited at the thought of getting out of town, i don't think either of us had more than 3 hours sleep the night before. no tv. golden silence. we were out by 10 pm. it poured all night, and the sound of the rain kept us lulled till morning.
i saw a live armadillo (only the 2nd one in my history) he was just a baby...on the way out of town, we saw him again. on his back, feet up! oh well, the circle of life continues. we drove by bo pilgrim's house...you know, the chicken guy. dude! 's a mansion on the outskirts of an otherwise shitty town. and just up the highway is the biggest pilgrim cranium you've ever seen! a virtual planetoid! no kidding, there's a 50 ft head of mr pilgrim himself. course i had to have my picture with that!
my driver was this hot lanky guy, who i've known now, for a couple years. our paths have somehow kept crossing, and until now, the timing just hasn't been right. i could gush on about him, but i'd feel like a retard, because i know he reads this sometimes. i don't know how he feels about purple mascara, but he was opposed to me going to cuba, so i'm going to my rich uncle's instead (after honduras) he's been sick for the past couple days, so i've been busy doctoring. movie (team america---hilarious!!) and xbox watching, sprite refills and tylenol...temperature taking and all the other stuff that goes along with sick. tomorrow if he's not better, we're gonna start doin things my way...i know he's praying for health, because he thinks my way is gay...it works for me, though. I'M not sick!
anyway, that's what i've been doing.
sorry for slacking.
funny, though, when i had a billion things to do, and places to go, i made more time for blogging.
i really have a good life.

holy crap balls!

did you see that i have 18 comments on the last post? funny for several reasons, the first being that not one of them even comes close to being what the post was about...secondly, most comments are from me and rat (you're my boy rat!) and thirdly, much to the dismay of colonel canuck, there's absolutely no mention of what makes all things better...
i can't make it another day without telling you, my beloved blog amis, that SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! no more pencils no more books...and i don't give dirty looks (not to the kiddos anyway--unless, of course they have it coming)
so kiss my ass, i don't have to work...i don't even bang on the drums all day...this is when i'm supposed to be out and aboout looking for a job that i like waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more. but i can't today...the park's so peaceful first thing in the morning, and i gotta get to the pool, it's tanning season, you know.
not only that, i gotta go on a backroads weekend road trip, pack for my trip to kalamazoo (yes, it really exists, and i'm really going there) and then start malaria meds so that i can have a disease free trip to honduras and nicaragua...
so when august rolls around, be kind not to remind me what i should have been doing in june.
